2006 – The story of Goldcroft Labs begins in 2006, long before it was ever a company. Back then, it was just a Scandinavian family spending evenings surrounded by wires, tools, and half-finished projects. Broken toys were fixed with soldering irons, LEGO sets were upgraded with custom lights, and spare computer parts were endlessly swapped and reconfigured. It was geeky, messy, and purely for fun... a family project that brought everyone together.
2010 – The brothers pushed the tinkering further. They were the kind of kids who couldn’t leave gadgets untouched: old consoles were modded, PCs rebuilt, and cables repurposed into new setups. Family and friends started coming by with “can you fix this?” requests, and the answer was almost always yes. Goldcroft Labs became the unofficial name for anything they cobbled together.
2014 – When 3D printers became affordable for home use, it was like opening a new chapter. Suddenly, missing bits and pieces could be recreated, custom holders for electronics could be printed overnight, and computer setups got their own one-off pieces. The garage filled with filament spools and half-finished designs. Nothing was mass-produced... it was all one-offs, built to solve problems at home or for friends.
2017 – Word spread beyond the immediate circle. Local hobby shops and small retailers began asking if the brothers could make or supply certain parts. The family’s workshop shifted from being purely a playground to something resembling a supply hub. They started sourcing components that weren’t available locally, mixing homemade creations with carefully chosen products from abroad.
2020 – By now, the brothers had a reputation for finding clever solutions and interesting electronics. Importing and exporting small batches of products became part of their routine, and they were supplying retailers with items that felt niche, practical, and a little bit nerdy... the kind of gear they wanted for themselves. Goldcroft Labs was still just a “hobby company,” but the direction was clear: it had grown far beyond the garage.
2023 – More retailers came on board. The brothers weren’t just tinkering anymore... they were curating. Every product they sourced was tested, used, and chosen the same way they had always done things at home: by asking, “Would we want this ourselves?” What began with LEGO lights and PC mods was now a network of electronics built for shops and consumers across the region.
2025 – After nearly 20 years of geeky experimentation, tinkering, and building trust with retailers, Goldcroft Labs was formally established online. The passion that started in 2006 with toys and computers now lives on as a brand that supplies carefully chosen electronics to retailers... still run by the brothers, still proudly nerdy at heart.
